Velkro Type Creation

A modular typeface project extended into a poster and editorial layout system.

I designed Velkro as a modular typeface and tested it across real editorial contexts instead of isolated glyph sheets. I led type construction, specimen direction, poster application, and book-layout integration in Illustrator. The project focused on proving that the letterform system could scale from character design into full-page composition. I refined spacing and rhythm to keep the type expressive while still usable in practical layouts. The outcome was a complete type-led system with a downloadable OTF and multi-format proof of use.
