Charcole

Selected drawing-class works in charcoal and sanguine, from figure studies to portraits and still life.

This project collects selected work from my drawing class, including figure studies, portraits, and still life pieces created with charcoal and sanguine. The course focused on more classical Renaissance-style techniques, which pushed me to think more carefully about form, value, and how to render things dimensionally by hand. That process ended up influencing how I build depth digitally as well, since it sharpened the way I think about structure, light, and volume. Special thanks to M. Donato.
